Leeds United's goalkeeper Lucas Perri is ruled out for the Fulham game due to a quad strain.

What happened?

Perri complained about a quad issue after last month's Newcastle United draw and a scan subsequently proved it is a strain.

Head coach Daniel Farke said: "Mixed news and some ongoing topics". Lucas Perri is definitely out for the game. He reported, after the last game, some problems with his quad.

Why it matters for Leeds United

Perri's absence will likely mean Karl Darlow starts in the Premier League for the first time since November 2021. In attack, if Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe both miss out in London, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in pole position for his full Leeds debut.

What comes next?

Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka each injured medial collateral ligaments before the international break. The former is ahead in his recovery, but Farke said the final 48 hours of the week would determine if both or either of them are included in his squad. | Player | Injury Status | | --- | --- | | Lucas Perri | Out | | Lukas Nmecha | Doubt | | Joel Piroe | Doubt | | Ethan Ampadu | Possible return | | Ao Tanaka | Possible return | Farke explained: "Some good news with Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka". Both, since the beginning of this week, integrated in major parts of team training, Ethan Ampadu even slightly more than Ao Tanaka because he was slightly ahead of schedule in terms of his injury. We have also 48 more hours and we take a late decision with them. It's possible we perhaps travel with both of them. It's possible we just take one of them with us to Fulham. It's also possible that neither of them will travel with us.
