Leeds United's Gabriel Gudmundsson has spoken about the 'dark days' he faced after a hamstring lay-off before the World Cup. The Leeds United defender had only just returned from a five-week lay-off before travelling to the USA, where illness disrupted his build-up. He lasted 66 minutes in Sweden's 5-1 win over Tunisia at the Estadio Monterrey in Mexico, before being replaced by Elliot Stroud after treatment. Sweden boss Graham Potter believed it was cramp, but Gudmundsson admitted it was a tough week. He trained with the team again on Friday and got two good sessions, but the heat and humidity may have played a small role. Gudmundsson hopes to be involved again in Sweden's next matches against the Netherlands and Japan.
