Leeds United have swiftly shut down transfer rumours linking them with Roma star Paulo Dybala. The speculation emerged on Wednesday, but journalist Graham Smyth dismissed the idea with a Michael Jordan GIF captioned “stop it, get some help.”
The Whites, finishing 14th in the Premier League last season with 47 points (11W-14D-13L), were linked with the Argentine World Cup winner. However, Dybala recently signed a new Roma contract until 2027, and the club’s Champions League qualification makes a move to Elland Road unlikely.
Dybala’s new deal and Roma’s European campaign next season made the transfer a long shot. Leeds United, with 49 goals scored and 56 conceded in 2025, are instead prioritising other targets like Julian Brandt.
Daniel Farke’s side remain ambitious in the transfer window, with Brandt a more realistic pursuit. The Whites, 38 points behind leaders Arsenal last term, continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
