Leeds United has confirmed that goalkeeper Illan Meslier has left the club after his contract expired. The 26-year-old Frenchman joined Leeds back in 2020 for a fee of €6.5m and made a positive start at Elland Road. He was a mainstay in the EFL Championship and then in the Premier League, making 107 appearances for the club. However, Meslier was guilty of several high-profile errors and lost his place last season. He did not play a single minute for Leeds United in what was his final season at the club. The former Lorient man is now a free agent and is on the search for a new club going into the 2026/27 campaign.
